Leadership is not about just being engaged

Leadership is not about being engaged, it’s about the willingness to take risks. A sales VP said this to me recently and it got me thinking about how leadership is so often focused on the people and the misses the need for personal development. This comment makes me think about the need for leaders to continue to grow personally and professionally.
